The Default Constraints (Tank Armature) scene file showcases years of production experience, with a passion for all things mechanical. The most recent iteration of this armature now uses the Instance Node Network systems, as well as a newly developed 'ground detection' node network merged into the armature. Cloth physics have also been implemented for 'dynamic' tank tracks too. We've also taken a more procedural approach to our bones and default bone constraints structure as well. Our armature uses 3 essential systems to drive the core functions of the tank (ground detection system, gun recoil system, and suspension system), and each system provides live feedback to create an animated user interface. What does it mean though? You can traverse any terrain with precision, fire the gun in any direction, and expect to see the tracks and suspension react to all systems with a stable but art directable result!
